This tropical smoothie is filled with pineapple, strawberries, mandarin oranges, and coconut. Plus, with the addition of Chobani Greek yogurt, this smoothie is packed with protein!
If you’re not as excited about the calendar as I am, I’ll try to downplay my excitement for you by reining in the exclamation points.
Even though fall technically doesn’t arrive until late September, Labor Day weekend always seems like the final hurrah of summer. While I’ve been anxiously awaiting for this moment, because it’s a lot more socially acceptable to start talking about all things pumpkin and apple spice after Labor Day than it is in August, I’m sure there are some who are already going through summer withdrawals.
If you’re dreading the end of summer, or would rather be sitting on the beaches of Tahiti right now (I WOULD), this tropical smoothie will remind you of summer days even as they’re drifting away.
Ohhh. Don’t worry, I’m totally going to tell you more. 🙂
The best thing about this smoothie, besides reminding you of lounging in the Bahamas, is that it’s packed with allll the good stuff, including Chobani Greek yogurt, which is free of artificial flavors and sweeteners, making it an excellent source of protein to add into the diet.
For those of you who haven’t hopped aboard the Greek yogurt train, trust me when I tell you that Chobani is fabulous and will undoubtedly change your mind. I’m a recent Greek yogurt convert, as I’ve only been eating it for a couple of years, and Chobani is absolutely delish.
Plus, Chobani is not only fun to say, but also has 40% less sugar than regular yogurt, 3 types of probiotics, and is made with only natural ingredients. Say whaaaat? It’s the life of the health party.
It also has coconut in it! I have a major thing for coconut, so it’s exciting. 🙂
- 1 cup coconut milk almond milk is fine as well
- 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp orange juice
- 2 medium bananas
- 1/2 cup frozen strawberries fresh is fine
- 1/2 cup frozen pineapple fresh is fine
- 1/4 cup frozen mandarin oranges fresh is fine
- 1/2 cup Chobani Greek yogurt plain, strawberry or vanilla
- 1/4 cup toasted coconut
- Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender, and blend until smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- Enjoy!
