These homemade baked Peanut Butter Donuts are topped with a sweet Mocha Glaze! These homemade donuts are the perfect fall dessert or decadent breakfast, and they are especially perfect when paired with a steaming cup of coffee!
I mentioned last week that it was going to be an all-up donut fest around here.
So, without further ado, I present to you the second installment of the donut fest, the Peanut Butter Donut topped with a Mocha Glaze (aka, all your fall hopes and dreams in the form of a donut).
Fall breakfasts (and midnight snacks) just got a little bit sweeter (literally and figuratively).
In full disclosure, I’ve been a donut fan sometime now (as in, practically my whole life). In junior high, Tuesdays and Thursdays were donut days, which meant rushing (not running–lest you were taken down by a yard-aid) to the line all the while hoping you made it in time to get one of the peanut butter or chocolate glazed donuts.
Despite my long legs and strong will, my class was across campus and I rarely made it in time for one of those donuts. Let’s just say, I’m making up for lost time with these Peanut Butter Donuts with a Mocha Glaze on top!
Thanks to International Delight® REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup creamer, these Peanut Butter Donuts are definitely a cut above the ones I missed out on in Jr. High.
I mean, who doesn’t want a REESE’S Cup in their donut?? (Or in their coffee mug.)
For one hot minute, can we also just discuss how excited I am that these International Delight® fall flavors are out on the shelves?! I live for these seasonal flavors, and stockpile them in my fridge. It just isn’t the holidays without a splash of these seasonal creamers!
The morning is simply perfect with a cup of hot coffee and homemade donut made with International Delight® REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup creamer!
Plus, you could totally dunk this donut into your coffee, and it would be triple the International Delight® REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup creamer flavor (because the creamer is in the donut, the glaze, and in the coffee! #winning). It’s the perfect ingredient to flavor your coffee and flavor your baked goods. 👌🏻
Additionally, if you do not have a donut pan, you could spoon the batter into a mini muffin tin and make donut holes instead. Extra donut to glaze ratio = a party in your mouth. 😉

Where there’s a donut and a cup of coffee, there’s me.
- 1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp milk
- 2 Tbsp International Delight® REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Creamer
- 2 Tbsp sour cream
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 Tbsp butter, melted
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 Tbsp heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp International Delight® REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Creamer
- chopped peanuts, if desired
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees and grease a 6-count donut pan.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together.
- Mix butter and peanut butter together in a separate bowl, and add to the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, mix milk, International Delight® REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Creamer, sour cream, egg, and vanilla extract together. Add to the dry ingredients, and mix until just combined.
- Add in peanut butter and melted butter, and mix until combined.
- Spoon (or pipe) donut mixture into the donut pan (you will probably have enough batter to make 8 donuts).
- Bake for 9-10 minutes, or until the donuts 'spring' back when touched.
- Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before removing from the pan.
- For the glaze, mix cocoa powder and powdered sugar together. Add in heavy cream and International Delight® REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Creamer, and stir until smooth (if the glaze is thicker than you prefer, add in more liquid; alternatively, if it's too thin, add in more powdered sugar).
- Dunk each donut halfway into the glaze. Top with chopped peanuts, if desired.
- Enjoy!

I don’t have a do nut pan, can I bake longer in a muffin pan

Hi Carole, I’ve never baked this specific recipe in a muffin tin, but I have baked other donut recipes in muffin tins before with great results! Usually I add a couple of extra minutes to the original time, and then babysit the donut muffins by checking every minute or so to see when they are done. 🙂 Thanks!
