{Healthy and Gluten-Free} Chocolate Peanut Butter Fruit Dip: This 5 ingredient fruit dip can be whipped up in less than 5 minutes and is made with all natural ingredients, which makes this tasty dip super healthy too! Day 3 of the 14 Days of Love!
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
It’s true. I wrote a speech on it once in college and it was my biggest triumph. No joke. I even handed out little baggies of cereal and told the class they didn’t have an excuse to skip breakfast the next morning.
Cheerios for the win! And it was a win because I straight up dreaded that class week in and week out. My professor was great, and so was my class, but it was the principle of the thing. Public speaking? I’d rather die. #overlydramatic
Since we all know the benefits of having breakfast for breakfast, let’s discuss the benefits of having dessert for breakfast, because for the 3rd installment of this 14 Days of Love series, we’re having just that. Dessert for breakfast! And snack! And, realistically, any time of the day because this peanut butter chocolate dip is so, so healthy.
Fruit dip for the dessert/breakfast win!
Now, this fruit dip was serendipitous.
When I was making the base for my Skinny Peanut Butter Honey Banana Muffins, I had a revelation. The base was peanut butter, honey, cinnamon, and Greek Yogurt. After giving it a taste test to ensure I had the right proportions, that whole eye-rolling-to-the-back-of-my-head thing happened.
Yep, just the one eye. Just kidding. That would totally be creepy.
So, getting back on point, the base was calling out to be turned into a fruit dip. Plus, like I mentioned here, chocolate is great for the body. So, obviously, I had to create it into the fruit dip.
Or cookie dip. I may or may not have tried dipping an Oreo in it. If peanut butter and Oreos are life, then this slathered on Oreos is life on steroids. #foodforthought
This recipe could not be easier to make. It takes five ingredients and only five minutes to make. I know!
In a medium sized bowl, mix together the peanut butter and honey until it is smooth and well-combined. Next, stir in the Greek Yogurt and mix until combined. Add in ground cinnamon and natural (not Dutch-processed) cocoa powder, mix, and serve with fruit!
This 5 ingredient fruit dip can be whipped up in less than 5 minutes and is made with all natural ingredients, which makes this tasty dip super healthy too!
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (I used all natural)
- 1 cup Greek Yogurt (I used Vanilla, but you can use any kind)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp all-natural cocoa powder (not Dutch-processed)
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the peanut butter and honey until combined.
- Add in the Greek Yogurt; mix.
- Spoon in cinnamon and cocoa powder. Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Serve with fruit, graham crackers, cookies, etc.
- Enjoy!
