Hot espresso and cream are poured over espresso fudge ice cream to make a decadent dessert that’s perfect for any occasion!
Happy Tuesday!
And it’s about to get better.
Cinnamon vanilla affogato. Oh yes.
But first, let’s talk about National Coffee Day and how even though the technical day is September 29th, in my world, every day is #NCD. No joke. Coffee makes an appearance in my day morning, noon, and night.
In fact, you would be surprised how many of my daily life decisions are based upon my proximity to the nearest cup of coffee, because, obviously, priorities. AmIright?!
Yes, yes I am. Because when it comes to coffee, the answer is always yes.
My relationship with coffee bloomed late in life (college opened my eyes), but it is one destined to be forever.
Seriously.
If I could have my way, everyday would have some sort of coffee relaxation date with family and friends. In all truth, some of my favorite memories revolve around a cup of coffee, as it truly does have the capability to bring people together. Family, friends, mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, siblings—there is nothing like a warm cup of coffee to bring everyone together!
BAILEYS™Coffee Creamers is helping making that dream come true! Up through October 20th, you can create a virtual coffee experience for a friend, and in return (for the warm coffee hug you just created for someone!), you can enter a Grand Prize drawing for $5500 in gift cards ($2000 in flights, $1500 in hotels and $2000 in a Visa gift card!) and a chance to have a real-life-warm-hug-coffee-date-reunion in person with a friend or family member you would love to catch up with!
Best. Idea. Ever.
Guys, Let’s Do Coffee!
Okay, so, this cinnamon vanilla affogato. Whoa.
Affogato is basically a fancy term for espresso and ice cream. Together.
Traditionally, affogato is hot espresso poured over vanilla ice cream, which is incredibly rich and delicious. But today, we’re putting a spin on an old classic thanks to BAILEYS™ Coffee Creamers Vanilla Brown Sugar.
The only question you need to ask when it comes to bold coffee poured over sweet ice cream is, “Is it acceptable to have two?”
As I mentioned earlier, when it comes to coffee, yes is always the answer.
Guys, you already know I’ll take (and make) any excuse to get an extra cup of coffee in the day, but how do you want to “do coffee?”
Create your own virtual coffee experience and you could totally have a chance to win BAILEYS™ Coffee Creamers Let’s Get Coffee Promotion if you enter!
Let’s virtually “cheers” our affogatos in hopes that you might be the lucky winner!
- 2 cups ice cream I used espresso fudge ice cream, but vanilla, chocolate, or coffee would work well
- 1/4 cup BAILEYS™ Coffee Creamers Vanilla Brown Sugar
- 1-2 cups hot espresso or strong black coffee
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Scoop 1/2 cup of ice cream into a shallow cup. Sprinkle with 1/2 tsp of cinnamon.
- Pour 1 Tbsp of BAILEYS™ Coffee Creamers Vanilla Brown Sugar over the top.
- Add in 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup of espresso (depending upon your preference--I prefer a lot of coffee, so I used 1/2 cup of espresso).
- Repeat for each remaining serving.
- Serve immediately.
- Enjoy!
