Welcome! I’m Michelle, and A Latte Food is my little space to share with you all of my favorite recipes, most of which can be classified as dessert. I straight up love dessert.
I’m 100% a dessert-a-holic.
And coffee-a-holic.
Basically, food is my life.
But, even though I bleed coffee and breathe sugar, you will find a variety of recipes on the blog, because I love being able to share my favorite recipes with all of you! While dessert recipes might be the predominate theme on my blog, there is (and will continue to be!) an assortment of recipes.

About the girl:
Here are a few facts about me that I’m sure you’ve been dying to know:
I was born and raised in Southern California. While it’s crowded and expensive and there pretty much isn’t a time of day where there isn’t traffic, I don’t think I could ever leave.
I adore the beach. I live a little more inland so I don’t beach it as often I’d like, but I try to take full advantage of it whenever I can. There’s nothing an iced coffee and a day at the beach can’t fix.
My friends and family are everything. To me, regardless of what we’re doing, if I’m with my friends and/or family, it’s a day well spent. Life is short and I want to spend whatever time I have with those I love.
Books are a huge part of my life. In a large way, they helped shape me into the person I am today. My list of favorites is a mile long, but a few I’d read over and over again are:

I have a B.A. in English Lit (shocking, right? 🙂 ), and a double minor in both History and Biblical Studies.
My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4: 4-8, and my favorite book of the Bible is Romans.
I love photography!
I love art, specifically contemporary art, and almost minored in art history.
Gilmore Girls rules all. Seriously.
My favorite place in the entire world is Hume Lake.
I also have an obsession with crime dramas, like NCIS, Blue Bloods, Law and Order SVU, Cold Case, and Bones. (I can’t stand the sight of blood, though, so often times I’m watching the shows with one eye closed).
I’m a huge Angels fan, even though I physically dislike playing baseball–go figure (probably because I’m competitive and was never very good at it–soccer was my sport!).
When I was little, I desperately wanted to be a gymnast. My dreams were dashed my first gymnastics class when I realized I was a good foot and a half taller than everyone else. (Also, I was a terrible gymnast. I really lacked balance and coordination.)
I’m a cooking magazine junkie.
I’m kind of a movie buff. My tastes are fairly eclectic and my favorites include, You’ve Got Mail, Crazy, Stupid Love, Back to the Future, Ferris Bueller, Heat, Memento and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
The best concerts I’ve been to: U2, the Goo Goo Dolls, The Lumineers, Mumford, Coldplay, Jimmy Eat World, Grouplove, Vance Joy and Matt & Kim.
New York City has my heart.
Turquoise is my favorite color.

My all-time favorite dessert is cheesecake, but I’ve never turned down a cookie or slice of cake either.
